Some interesting coffee stats, thanks to Hey You App Data Analytics. Over the last 3 years coffee inflation has averaged only 1% per year. If you look at the increase in labour costs, supplies and rent, profits for cafe owners have gone backwards. Our CEO, Asheesh Chacko, spoke to Channel 9 News, about the impact this is having on cafe owners, and how tough it is for them. He also spoke about coffee prices and trends in Sydney, and the interesting fact that in Sydney, overall coffee is actually cheaper than the national average. Sydney's cheapest coffee is in the West at ~$4.30, and Sydney's most expensive coffee is actually in the South West at ~$4.50 (Hey You App Data Analytics).
