The Design & Build Practitioners Regulation 2021 has changed the game for Client-side PMs. Previously, the industry could “get away” with allowing poor design documentation to be produced on the proviso that it would ultimately be “sorted” by a D&C Contractor. In their overall role, PM’s need to ensure that designers produce compliant design documentation to produce a better project outcome.
