Celebrating Outstanding Intrapreneurship in Higher Education 🌟 The Global Intrapreneurs Institute congratulates Dr Marcia Mattushek, Program Facilitator and Tinker Space Manager at QUT Entrepreneurship in Australia, as the 2024 recipient of the Outstanding Intrapreneur Award in the Higher Education. Driven by a passion for accessibility and creativity, Dr. Marcia transformed an underutilised co-working space into the thriving QUT Tinker Space—a grassroots, student-led makerspace open to all students, staff, and alumni. By repurposing equipment from across the university and harnessing the talents of students, the Tinker Space has become a hub for innovation, offering workshops in:  ✅ 3D modeling and printing  ✅ Microcontrollers  ✅ Sewing basics  ✅ Cricut machine crafting  ...and much more! In just 18 months, this space has welcomed over 600 participants, helping students prototype and bring their entrepreneurial ideas to life as part of QUT’s programs like ‘Side Hustle’. Dr. Marcia’s intrapreneurial spirit and resourcefulness have redefined what’s possible, creating a fun, collaborative, and empowering environment for the QUT community.
