Another year done and dusted means another epic EOY party for the Easy Weddings and Venue Crew team🔥 After a wonderful morning in the office, followed by the traditional BBQ lunch, a presentation by team leaders on 2024 company wins, and the crowning of our 2024 Employee of the Year (YAY Emily Mcnamara👑) the team got absolutely spoilt with a night at Melbourne Zoo😍🦒) We hope you all felt the love and appreciation across the whole business - we couldn’t do it without each and every one of you and we are SO grateful to get to work with such wonderful and passionate people. Big thanks to Zoos Victoria and Melbourne Zoo for an amazing EOY party venue, and to DJ Masters Melbourne for bringing the tunes💃 2025 is going to be the best one yet, we can just feel it!!🙌💋

Today was a spooky day at the Easy Weddings and Venue Crew HQ👻🎃 Here’s what people wore to the office Halloween party👀 Great effort by everyone who dressed up and contributed to a wonderful potluck lunch! Massive thanks to the Culture Crew for organising some fun games for both the on-site and remote teams, as well as the annual Halloween fashion parade - another clean sweep win (for the 4th consecutive year) to costume guru Simon Wawrzyniak, our very own Taylor Swift🔥🙌

Last week, the Easy Weddings and Venue Crew team wrapped up our Evolve wedding business conference series for 2024 in Brisbane, and what an incredible journey it has been! Brisbane's premier wedding industry event brought together 140 wedding professionals venues, and suppliers for an afternoon of learning, networking, and inspiration. 🎉 📸 Thanks to DMS Photography for capturing the magic of the event, hosted at voco® Brisbane City Centre,. 🌟 CEO Matt Butterworth shared insights on the evolving wedding landscape, and marketing pros Priya Kanniappan and Mel Buttigieg delved into effective marketing approaches for today’s couples. Rounding out the afternoon was our panel of Queensland wedding leaders Amanda Appel, co-owner of the Makki Group of venues (Kwila Lodge & The Bower Estate), Natasha Hill, Rob McMullan of Elevation Band, and Katrina Plant from The Fresh Collective, sharing sales strategies to thrive in a changing market, with our in-house expert Darcy Allen (who also runs Every Last Detail Weddings) hosting the chat. We're excited to have Rob McMullan of wedding band 'Elevation' join us on the Easy Weddings and Venue Crew Evolve panel this Thursday at voco® Brisbane City Centre, 🙌 After spending years as a first-call musician for other businesses in the Queensland wedding industry, Rob co-founded his own band Elevation in 2016. He now runs the band with his wife Nicole, which they have built into a market-leading business with a steady client base and consistent bookings. Elevation has won yearly awards, including runner-up for the 2024 ABIA award for Live Musicians & Bands.
