The Government of Western Australia's Adopt, Don't Shop campaign is is helping connect rescue pets with families that suit their home and lifestyle. 🐾 The festive season and summer holidays are the perfect time to welcome a furry friend into your family. It’s an opportunity to help a pet settle in and build a lifelong bond. Adopting a dog or cat from a rescue organisation is a rewarding, ethical, and cost-effective way to bring a new pet into your life. Plus, it gives them a second chance at a happy home while supporting WA's animal shelters. Visit pets.wa.gov.au to learn more about responsible pet ownership and find your pawfect match! #AdoptDontShop #PetsWA #PawfectMatch

Christmas Eve 2024 will mark the second anniversary of the Protected Entertainment Precincts (PEPs) laws which seek to increase safety and reduce alcohol-related harm in the five areas of Perth-Northbridge, Fremantle, Scarborough, Hillarys and Mandurah. Since December 2022, 211 violent and anti-social offenders have been barred from these areas for three months up to five years, with 165 related to offending in Perth-Northbridge, by order of either WA Police or the Director of Liquor Licensing. We're committed to making WA's entertainment precincts safer for everyone. PEP laws are keeping violent offenders out of these five popular areas, ensuring they're places people can continue to enjoy. More info ➡️ https://ow.ly/NqV850Uta0H
