The CSCRC was proud to partner with Australian Institute of Company Directors to develop version 2 of the Cyber Security Governance Principles. #cybersecurity #cscrc #principles #aicd
We are pleased to share Version 2 of the Cyber Security Governance Principles, developed in collaboration with the Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC). This update provides new and expanded guidance on: 🔸 digital supply chain risks; 🔸 effective data governance; 🔸 board oversight of critical cyber incident response and recovery; and 🔸 pending new cyber security legislation. The update also features new case studies by former Telstra CEO Andrew Penn and Ventia Services Group Chair David Moffatt, and a foreword by the federal government’s Special Envoy for Cyber Security and Digital Resilience, Dr Andrew Charlton. To support directors, the Principles provide practical tools, including tailored questions, governance red flags, and checklists for directors of NFPs and SMEs, helping boards strengthen cyber resilience and improve cyber risk controls. Our lives have become increasingly digital and it’s more important than ever to protect ourselves online! It’s Cyber Security Awareness Month and we want to give a shoutout to the amazing work from the Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CRC). The Cyber Security CRC created an interactive simulation called Corporates Compromised® that businesses can use to prepare in case of a ransomware attack. The simulation helps business leaders understand ways to protect themselves, how their systems might be exploited and how they recover.
