  • We’re proud to share that Crystalbrook Collection has become the first known hotel brand in Australia to secure a Sustainability-Linked Loan supported by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. The Sustainability-Linked Loan, a relatively new concept in the financial world, supports companies that demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability, tying the cost of debt to sustainability performance and incentivising companies to achieve ambitious predetermined environmental or social targets. Crystalbrook Collection’s targets are focused on minimising water usage, waste, carbon emissions and energy across our hotels and resorts. For the past three years, Crystalbrook has used EarthCheck - an independent measurement platform - to benchmark our environmental performance against the industry, with multiple Crystalbrook hotels holding a leading position in the 100th percentile across key performance metrics, specifically in emissions, energy, and water usage. "This loan is a testament to our unwavering commitment to sustainability leadership in the hospitality industry. It not only provides us with the financial flexibility to further our sustainability initiatives but also validates our efforts to date." - Geoffrey York, CEO of Crystalbrook Collection Find out more: https://lnkd.in/gdr-hkbU

  • A big milestone in South Australia: Our latest hotel is officially under construction in Adelaide. Located at 15 Halifax Street in the south of the city’s CBD, the $120 million development is a collaboration between Crystalbrook Collection and leading South Australian property developers and structural steel fabricators, Samaras Group. This week, Chris Samaras, CEO of Samaras Group, George I Samaras, Director of Samaras Group, and Geoffrey York, CEO of Crystalbrook Collection, were joined by the Hon Peter Malinauskas MP, Premier for South Australia to celebrate the moment and hotel partnership on site with a ground breaking ceremony. Named Crystalbrook Sam, the sustainably-led 13-level luxury hotel will feature 206 guest rooms and suites, a grand lobby with communal spaces, and a pool and fitness centre facilities. It will house state-of-the-art meetings and events spaces, as well as a new food and beverage establishment on level 12 showcasing Adelaide’s finest produce. The jewel in the hotel’s crown will be a unique rooftop Eléme Bathhouse and Day Spa, with panoramic views of the Adelaide Hills and CBD. Construction is schedule for completion in 2026. • Our own Megan Knoetze joined a panel of speakers at Maximum Occupancy in Sydney to discuss the staffing gap in our industry.   As Group Director, People & Culture, Megan covered Crystalbrook Collection's approach to ensuring our Collaborators - what we call our team - are taken care of.   Megan discussed three main ways in which Crystalbrook Collection is innovating to solve the staffing gap and provide more opportunities for our Collaborators, including:   - Identifying barriers to accessing work and then partnering with government and service providers to make public transport available, particularly in regional locations. - Upskilling employees by providing accredited vocational training programmes through our Crystalbrook Campus. - Recognising what the whole person can bring and designing the role around this rather than forcing the person to fit the role.   Our environment is dynamic and entrepreneurial and we heartily believe in looking after our people. If you or anyone you know wants to join our team, we want to hear from you! https://lnkd.in/gxi3nhty
