“One of the best aspects of working in this industry is the opportunity for career progression – something I never imagined when I joined Coates 15 years ago as a plastic barrier welder, straight out of high school. After 11 years in Operations, I then moved into Sales. My proudest accomplishments are recently being named Salesperson of the Year in the North BU and participating in the HRIA and ARA exchange program in 2017 where I spent 3 weeks working at two rental companies in the USA. I’m motivated to ‘be my best’ and win business, but I think a good salesperson is reliable and offers real value to customers. I enjoy travelling around Queensland to visit customers, often at mines. I strive to achieve positive outcomes for them by asking questions to better understand their challenges and setting realistic expectations. Coates has completed one of NSW’s largest traffic barrier installations on the M7-M12 Integration Project for John Holland.
