Shenton Quarter at Montario, a DevelopmentWA site, reached completion a few weeks ago and marks a great end to CCN's year. The project comprises 157 apartments over 8 levels. We are extremely proud of the project. It is a truly mixed-use transit-oriented development with a Coles Group supermarket, specialty retail, commercial units and apartments located 400 meters from Shenton Railway Station. Packed with communal amenity including a swimming pool, a sand beach, community farm, gym, children's playground and multiple indoor and outdoor dining and BBQ areas the residents have a wide choice of places to relax and recreate. A project of this complexity is always collaborative and the product of a great client and teamwork. Congratulations to all involved including RWM Property, Iris Residential, Element Advisory Part of SLR, Stantec, CODE - Building Surveyors & Access Consultants, Alphazeta Group Pty Ltd, Golder, WSP, Cardno, propagule, Gowdie Management Group Pty Ltd and artist Stuart Green to name a few. Special shout out to the CCN team including Dominic Snellgrove, Josh Martin, Matthew Marsh, Maryjo Estacio, Jackson Liew and Keat tan. Credit to John Madden from CCN for outstanding photographs. Many individuals made the project possible. Too many to name here but a special thanks to the client group including Tanya Trevisan, Scott Archibald Samantha Fortin and Andrew Fatin.

We are very pleased to have provided concept and schematic design and feasibility services to DevelopmentWA preceding the launch of the EOI for Davis Park Beaconsfield. The Davis Park precinct in Beaconsfield is set to become a sustainable, diverse, and accessible community for everyone. It will ultimately provide 550 new dwellings alongside retail and commercial offerings and public open spaces. Working closely with the DevelopmentWA team, including Kate Whitton, Natalie Clayforth and Anna Evangelisti, CCN prepared design studies for Lots 1, 2 and 3 comprising almost 11,500M2and is Zoned Local Centre / R100. The site has the potential to accommodate a supermarket, mixed-use retail, and commercial and residential apartments up to six storeys in height which can be delivered in one or multiple stages. CCN assisted with concept design visioning and yield testing for each Lot, including the allocation of residential and commercial car parking, retail and commercial servicing, residential typologies and communal facilities arranged in a way that can deliver a diverse and integrated development with high levels of resident and visitor amenity. https://lnkd.in/g6-9tYEF https://ccnwa.com.au

Congratulations Carina van den Berg! We are pleased to announce that Carina is this year's recipient of the Cameron Chisholm Nicol Architecture Prize at The University of Western Australia. The prize is awarded annually to the student who, in the opinion of the relevant board, has submitted the most outstanding design project in the course for the degree Master of Architecture. CCN has sponsored this prize since at least the early 1980's. Thank you to Beth George from the faculty of Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design for coordinating and chairing the interviews. Fun fact: Beth was the 2004 CCN recipient! Thank you to Peter Keleman and Zoe Yeoh for engaging in the challenging task of selecting a winner, and to Dominic Snellgrove for attending the ceremony at UWA for the presentation of the award. As always it was extremely difficult to choose from such a talented shortlist which included Eugene Tiong and Corbyn Bisschops.
