As part of NAIDOC Week celebrations, Bungree staff will be participating at the following events: 👉 8th July - Flag raising ceremony at Central Coast Council's Wyong Administration Building 👉9th July - Central Coast NAIDOC Community Day at Wyong Race Club (71-73 Howarth St, Wyong) and Westlake's (Toronto) Community Day at Bolton Point Park (68 Middle Point Rd, Bolton Point) 👉 11th July - Bungree Staff NAIDOC BBQ 👉 12th July - Darkinjung Golf Day (Wyong Golf Club) and Bungree Elders Lunch (Kooindah Waters) 👉13th July - Cessnock NAIDOC Community Day (Cessnock TAFE Grounds, Darwin St, Cessnock) 👉 19th July - Eastlakes Family Fun Day (Pelican Foreshore, Blacksmiths) Although Bungree will have skeleton staff in the office during NAIDOC week, our Gosford and Cessnock offices will be closed on Tuesday 9th July, Thursday 11th July and Friday 12th July as all staff will attending events on these dates. About us
Bungree Aboriginal Association is a Central Coast Aboriginal Community based organisation, which provides a wide range of services to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people residing on the Central Coast of New South Wales. OUR GOAL Bungree aims to ensure that all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people residing on the Central Coast of New South Wales have access to the provision of high-quality and effective services. Bungree has been operating as a registered not for profit organisation since 7th July 1995 and has been providing services to children, families, the elderly, disabled and disadvantaged for over 20 years. Bungree is the largest Aboriginal not for profit organisation on the Central Coast and currently employs approximately 35 permanent and casual field employees. We operate and deliver 28 funded programs and services to the Central Coast, Newcastle and Upper Hunter. OUR PURPOSE Bungree’s purpose is to provide a wide range of funded programs and services that assist many of our vulnerable and isolated people and families such as our elderly and frail, people with a disability, people who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness, children, youth and families. OUR MISSION We advocate for our community and deliver high quality outcomes to our elderly and frail, people with disabilities, the homeless, and vulnerable children, youth and families. This quarter Bungree Aboriginal Association will be hosting the meeting in their Gosford office for an opportunity to meet together face-to-face, share news, and connect with local practitioners in family law and family services. This week Bungree has hosted Murra Mia Aboriginal Corporation from Batemans Bay - Specialist Homelessness Services Team. The Murra Mia Specialist Homelessness Services is a much needed and welcomed at risk of homelessness service for the Eurobodalla and Bega Valley Shires. Bungree and Murra Mia have a formal partnership. Bungree will assist Murra Mia with onsite staff training and learning and peer to peer support for both Executive and staff through the implementation of the service delivery. #MurraMia

Bungree is delighted to formalise our ongoing relationship and partnership with The Glen Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre Group with our official signing of the Formal MOU on Friday 2 May 2024 at The Glen for Women. Both Bungree and The Glen will continue to work together for better outcomes for The Glen’s women and men participants and for our joint community events.
