Our Kangaroo Point Bridge has been awarded an Excellent Rating under the Infrastructure Sustainability Council’s Design Rating scheme, for its sustainable design features and innovative approach to minimising construction impacts to the environment and community. Sustainability was a key principle for this new bridge during both its design and construction, including the use of renewable energy, local suppliers and innovative technology. The bridge features extensive use of native shade plants for natural cooling and, once operational, the bridge’s 75 solar panels will generate enough power to offset its own energy usage. Find out more about the Kangaroo Point Bridge and join us at its opening event on Sunday 15 December: https://lnkd.in/gKVh7qTr #SEQCityDeal @ausgov
