It was a delight to be part of the Kangaroo Point Bridge opening celebrations recently! Delivering this extraordinary public infrastructure project in partnership with Brisbane City Council has been a significant milestone in our journey. We recently hit the kitchen and put our knife skills to the test, creating fresh, healthy, and delicious meals with the incredible OzHarvest team! This experience not only taught us valuable lessons on reducing food waste and minimising our environmental impact but also gave us the chance to prepare meals that truly make a difference for those in need. We're still buzzing with excitement from joining the Brisbane community at the grand opening of the Kangaroo Point Bridge over the weekend 🎉 It was fantastic to hear from our CEO Mark Baker, Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner, Civic Cabinet Chair for Transport Councillor Ryan Murphy, and Federal Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government The Hon Catherine King at the ceremony. Seeing this remarkable piece of infrastructure being used as intended and celebrating alongside Brisbane City Council and our delivery partners makes us incredibly proud. A significant milestone has been celebrated at St George Hospital Stage 3 Redevelopment with construction reaching the highest point of the new nine-storey Kensington Street Building last week. BESIX Watpac CEO Mark Baker joined NSW Premier Chris Minns and Member for Rockdale Steve Kamper for a traditional topping out ceremony. 🌳 Well done to the entire team and all involved on reaching this milestone. Flashback Friday | Spanning an area larger than four football fields, the Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence is pivotal for the manufacture, sustainment, and export of military vehicles, turrets, and tactical systems for Australia’s Department of Defence. ✨ As the first facility of its kind in Southeast Queensland, this 11-hectare site significantly enhances Australia’s national defence capabilities. The installation of Renewal SA’s Deep Maintenance and Modification Facility’s first box truss is now complete. This is the first of four trusses, each weighing an impressive 130 tonnes – equivalent to the weight of an Arctic blue whale! At 58 metres long, it required 12 truckloads of steel, including 6 oversized frames. Each truss takes over 2,140 hours to fabricate and an additional 2,000 hours in the paint shop, using more than 3,000 litres of paint! ✨   #BuildingTheBestTogether #DefenceProject   Video credit: INNOVIS Consulting

This year, our incredible team set out to raise $25K for Movember, and we surpassed all expectations by raising just over $30K! With the help of the BESIX Watpac Community Fund we raised a grand total of $35K to support men's health! 🎉   In addition to this amazing fundraising achievement, our 70 participants collectively took an astounding 17.5 million steps! 💪   A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and made this our best year yet.
