This week, AUSTSWIM was proud to attend the premiere screening of 'The Journey,' a powerful mini-documentary created by our partners, Swim Brothers Omar and Feroz, two dedicated professionals from Bankstown, took a stand in 2019 against the alarming over-representation of male drownings. This documentary beautifully captures the individual stories of participants in the culturally safe pool-to-ocean swim program. It highlights local heroes from both the surf and pool communities, all of which are committed to a vision of a more inclusive, accessible, and culturally safe swim and surf culture in Australia. The Journey also showcases the incredible power of human connection and the beauty that can emerge from it. The night also marked the official launch of the Swim Brothers fundraiser to establish the first not-for-profit culturally safe aquatic hub see below to donate 👇 https://hubs.ly/Q02_yyh70
