And That’s a Wrap for 2024! ATEC’s China Host Workshop Queensland – Stay Tuned for 2025! 🎬 Yesterday, we wrapped up our final workshop of the year in Brisbane, bringing together an engaging group of industry operators for a productive day. The breakout sessions provided valuable insights on tapping into the China inbound market through a Queensland lens, while the afternoon discussions sparked thoughtful conversations on key industry topics, particularly the Chinese digital landscape. These workshops wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations (NFACR) 澳中基金会, as well as the expertise shared by Jessica Xue and Garry Burns from The Gaibo Agency. A huge thank you to all! We’ll be back in 2025, ready to kick off the new year in February with our first workshop in Canberra followed by the Northern Territory workshop in March to be held in Darwin. Exciting times ahead as we continue to grow and strengthen the China inbound market.

Congratulations to the ELITE class of 2024 - the future leaders of the inbound industry. After months of dedication and growth, we proudly celebrated the official graduation of our ELITE 2024 cohort at ATEC Meeting Place on the Gold Coast. Throughout the program, participants completed online professional development modules and participated in group mentoring sessions with industry leaders Jacqui Walshe, Ben Hall, and Robin Mack. Groups were then challenged with a real-world client project: create an initiative to help a regional tourism business enhance or expand its offerings to attract international visitors, using local and national partnerships to amplify its reach and impact. Special thanks to our clients Corin Forest, Never Never Distilling Co. and Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory for offering your time and guidance to each of the groups. Additionally, each participant worked closely with an assigned industry mentor, gaining insights and advice that added to the structured content. The program came to an end with each group presenting their initiatives at Meeting Place before formally graduating with support from Senator Nita Green, their mentors and the broader ATEC community. The ELITE Class of 2024 Valedictorian Jessica Bryden was able to share her experiences with the wider Meeting Place audience in the conference program. A well deserved appointment, Jessica was committed to the professional development while demonstrating the core values of the ELITE program and was nominated by her peers. Congratulations again to these 29 outstanding individuals who now join over 200 ELITE alumni. We’re excited to see your continued impact and growth within the industry! Take a look at the 2024 program below and hear from graduates Gigi McKercher, Dylan Dudley and Shaun Brennan. Interested in joining the next generation of tourism leaders?
