Our Next Generation Fuels team recently attended the Australian Airports Association (AAA) National Conference in Brisbane. Executive General Manager Commercial Fuels and Energy Brent Merrick represented Ampol in a panel discussion about sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), alongside our partners IFM Investors and GrainCorp, represented by Danny Elia and Jesse Scott. Brendon Buckley, Assistant Secretary Transport and Accessibility and Future Fuels was also on the panel, who also recently visited our Lytton Refinery in Brisbane. The different themes discussed included what is required to build a commercially viable Australian renewable fuels industry, fuel security, building consumer confidence, and international context. 'SAF' and 'Renewable Fuels' are industry terms used to describe fuels manufactured using renewable feedstocks such as canola and tallow. This event was a fantastic opportunity to continue our journey to advance the renewable fuels industry in Australia. #AAANC24

Our Executive General Manager, Commercial Fuels and Energy Brent Merrick recently represented Ampol at the Australia Jet Zero Council. The Jet Zero Council brings together a cross-section of stakeholders from across the aviation sector and associated supply chains to lead efforts towards net zero aviation Australia. Joined by our partners GrainCorp, represented by Jesse Scott, the Council provided another opportunity to discuss our continued exploration, along with IFM Investors, into establishing a renewable fuels industry in Australia. Renewable fuels are called so as they’re made from renewable feedstocks such as canola or used cooking oil. We look forward to working with Government and the Jet Zero Council to advance the renewable fuels industry. #Ampol #RenewableFuel #EnergyTransition
