Increasing value in the Australian grains industry.
About us
AEGIC is an independent organisation that helps position Australian grain as the preferred choice in international markets. AEGIC does this by: • Understanding the needs of grain customers. • Identifying and supporting grain market opportunities. • Innovating to develop new solutions and high-value uses. • Educating customers on the benefits of Australian grain. This helps the Australian grains industry breed, classify, grow and supply grain that markets prefer. AEGIC’s primary beneficiaries are Australian grain growers, and the impact of AEGIC’s work spans the whole grains supply chain: from the grower in Australia, whose grain is valued internationally, to the consumer who enjoys excellent noodles, baked products and beer made from Australian grain. AEGIC offers commercial grain quality testing and food analysis for a range of clients.

Reflecting on a productive 2024: We were proud to host our 2024 #Australianbarley technical seminars in China, supported by the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations (NFACR) 澳中基金会. These events showcased the best of Australian barley, and were well received by Chinese customers eager to connect with Australia’s barley supply chain and receive up-to-date technical support and information. Held in Shanghai and Guangzhou, the seminars brought together industry leaders from China and Australia, including barley breeders, growers, Chinese malting and brewing experts and the AEGIC team. The events included panel discussion and networking lunch, which helped share expertise, create new connections and strengthen existing relationships. We look forward to continued collaboration and innovation in 2025. #barley #malting #beer #agchatoz #NFACR #aussiebarley #malt
