The Community Groups Forum on Thursday, 28 November, was a fantastic evening of networking, learning, and collaboration. Hosted at the Balhannah Oval Football Clubrooms, attendees enjoyed a free sausage sizzle, had the chance to connect with fellow community groups, and explored opportunities through Council's Community Grants Program. On Monday, we lit up the Stirling Coventry Library and the rotunda in Stirling's Steamroller Park in orange 🧡 to support the UN’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. Monday also marked the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. In partnership with the Zonta Club of Adelaide Hills, orange lady displays and information are available at the Stirling Coventry Library, Gumeracha Library, and Woodside Library. Check out the footage from Friday's exciting sod-turning ceremony that kicked off the first 400 metres of the new Amy Gillett Pathway extension, which will soon connect Mount Torrens to Birdwood. The extension follows the old railway line through beautiful fields and vineyards, moving cyclists and walkers away from main roads. This project, funded by Federal, State, and Council contributions, will add 5.7 km to the pathway, creating more recreational opportunities for locals and visitors alike.
