To ensure the recipes meet the needs of high-performance athletes, sport dietician Judith Haudum reviewed each dish, providing feedback and suggesting adjustments to make them more suitable for training and competition. The cookbook highlights the importance of high-quality vegetarian meals at IBU events and hotels, ensuring athletes are fueled in the best way possible while promoting sustainable and healthy food choices. 🌟 IBU-IOC Camp in Martell: A Week of Learning and Inspiration 🌟 The recent IBU-IOC Camp in Martell, Italy, brought together 54 athletes and 14 coaches from 14 National Federations for 8 days of intensive training and knowledge sharing. Participants enhanced their skills in shooting, nutrition with Judith Haudum, and anti-doping education with Biathlon Integrity Unit, while IBU coaches Armin Kasslatter, Karin Oberhofer, Edoardo Mezzaro, and Thomas Bormolini provided invaluable expertise. 🏅 A highlight of the camp was Thomas Bormolini’s emotional presentation on his career, sharing the challenges and triumphs of professional biathlon. Special thanks to the Organizing Committee of Martell and Hotel Waldheim for their exceptional support. 🙏 The camp, led by Ilario Maddalin and supported by the IOC Olympic Solidarity Programme, concluded with an exciting Mixed Relay Competition, where Team Spain claimed victory, followed by Great Britain, British Biathlon Union and Serbia. 📢 Pilot Third Level Course launched! 🌍 From 5-7 November, the IBU Academy launched its Pilot Third Level Coach Education Course at the Norges idrettshøgskole (NIH) - Norwegian School of Sport Sciences - in Oslo. Over three intensive days, 10 top coaches from 9 National Federations immersed themselves in advanced training topics - from skiing technique to long-term planning, shooting skills, and media training. 🙏 A huge thank you to expert instructors Siegfried Mazet, Jonne Kähkönen, Trond Nystad, Per-Øyvind Torvik, Wolfgang Pichler, Jon Tibbs OBE, Justin Shea, and Øyvind Sandbakk for sharing their invaluable knowledge. This is the final level of our IBU Coach Education Program, and we’re proud to see it start strong.
