🌍 Celebrating Milestones and Sharing Knowledge in Salzburg! It was a great honor for aed to be invited to the 20th Europe Summit of the Institute of Regions (IRE) in Salzburg, which also marked the 20th anniversary of this esteemed institute. Our team led an engaging workshop on the progress of the ongoing EU-funded project “Improve Efficiency of the ESI Funds Absorption Processes in Slovenia,” under the Technical Support Instrument (TSI) of DG Reform. We were privileged to have Mr. Aleksander Jevšek, Slovenia’s Minister for Cohesion and Regional Development, as the keynote speaker. His insights into the importance of regional development and cohesion in today’s Europe set an inspiring tone for our discussions. • Slovenian delegation to Vienna in the framework of the EU-TSI-project "ESIFunds-SI" We are pleased to inform you about the successful outcome of the recent study visit of a Slovenian delegation to Vienna in the framework of the EU-TSI-project "ESIFunds-SI". The purpose of the visit was to exchange experiences and to learn from each other. Insights were given into the organisation of processes in Austria as a decentralised and federal republic, as well as information on the processes of communicating EU issues and their impact on urban municipalities.   During the two days, many high-ranking Austrian institutions were visited. One of the highlights was the Austrian Spatial Planning Conference (ÖROK) where, after a very interesting presentation of the tasks and organisation, the participants had fruitful discussions on the organisational structure of the national programme, financial instruments, overbooking and financing not linked to costs. This exchange of experience will be useful for the implementation of the Slovenian ITI programme.   During the visit to the Austrian Association of Cities and Municipalities, the possibility of establishing a ZMOS representation in Brussels was explored. This potential initiative could significantly strengthen ties and Slovenian efforts at the European level.   We would also like to thank IRE for the excellent organization and collaboration on the study visit.   We look forward to continued cooperation in our joint project and the many promising opportunities that lie ahead.   #aed #BestPracticeAustria #ZMOS #studyvisit #reform
