L & W Wei, LP is a holding company located in Lafayette, LA.
We own and operate companies in the health care, technology, marketing, restaurant/hospitality and real estate industries.
We are in search of a financial controller to support the owners and principals of the company as we scale the organization.
This role is an opportunity for a proven finance professional to participate in the growth of a startup conglomerate based in Lafayette, Louisiana.
The ideal candidate will have the combination of technical competences, entrepreneurial mindset, and leadership ability to support L & W Wei, LP through a period of rapid growth.
You will be able to immediately step into the role and lead the accounting and compliance departments.

_*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*_
* Have management responsibility for all accounting functions and processes.
* Direct and oversee the day-to-day Accounting Operations, including Revenue, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll functions
* Oversee and prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial statements
* Oversight of payroll, accounts payable, and cash management.
* Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
* Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures and controls
* Research, plan and implement Accounting Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or company-wide improvements, as needed
* Ensure the integrity of financial statements and adherence to GAAP
* Provide support to the company’s business units to ensure that all significant and material accounting matters are properly addressed
* Provide timely reviews, identify, and address accounting and tax issues with financial impact and ensure they are properly reflected in the financial statements reported to the CFO and Leadership Executives
* Evaluate internal controls surrounding all key accounting processes/systems to ensure that overall controls have been implemented properly and effectively
* Support the implementation of best practices at enterprise and business unit level
* Identify deviations from policy, reports them and supports the correction of such deviations
* Provide prompt, thorough and accurate responses to inquiries from both internal and external sources
* Develop budgets and track actuals across multiple sites.
* Build and update financial models and forecasts.
* Light travel, as needed.
* Support and coordination of the operational activities of the various companies which include but are not limited to credentialing of heart clinics, marketing the various companies and other various duties as needed in this start up environment.
_*REQUIREMENTS:*_
* 7-10 years of relevant experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation preferred.
* Proven experience as a Controller or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
* Proficiency in accounting software; QuickBooks preferred.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $94,000.
