Why Problem-Solving Is the Ultimate Engineering Skill You Need to Master Ever hit a roadblock that seemed impossible to overcome? That’s when your problem-solving skills come into play! Let’s dive into why mastering this skill is a game-changer for engineers. In the world of engineering, your ability to solve problems creatively and efficiently is what truly sets you apart. It’s not just about knowing the right formulas or codes—it’s about finding innovative solutions when things don’t go as planned. Here’s why problem-solving is the ultimate skill you need to master and how you can start honing it today. 1. Every Project Has Its Challenges - Whether it’s a technical glitch, a design flaw, or a tight deadline, every engineering project comes with its own set of challenges. Problem-solving skills help you navigate these obstacles and keep your project on track. - The next time you face a challenge, don’t panic. Break it down into smaller parts, analyze the situation, and think of multiple solutions. You’ll be surprised at how manageable it becomes. 2. Creativity Is Key - Problem-solving isn’t just about finding a solution—it’s about finding the best solution. This often requires thinking outside the box and approaching the problem from different angles. - Try brainstorming sessions or mind mapping to explore all possible solutions. Sometimes, the most unconventional ideas lead to the best outcomes. 3. It Builds Resilience - Engineers who excel at problem-solving are often the most resilient. They don’t give up when things get tough—they dig deeper and find ways to overcome obstacles. - Cultivate resilience by viewing setbacks as opportunities to learn and grow. The more challenges you face, the stronger you’ll become. 4. Collaboration Enhances Problem-Solving - Some of the best solutions come from working with others. Collaborating with teammates or even seeking advice from mentors can bring fresh perspectives to a problem. 5. It’s a Skill That Employers Love - Companies are always on the lookout for engineers who can think on their feet and solve problems quickly and efficiently. Mastering this skill will make you a valuable asset to any team. 6. Practice Makes Perfect - Like any skill, problem-solving improves with practice. Engage in activities that challenge your thinking, such as coding competitions, puzzles, or hands-on projects. 7. Stay Curious and Keep Learning - Problem-solving is a continuous learning process. Stay curious, keep asking questions, and never stop seeking new knowledge. At Cipheren Technology, we believe that problem-solving is the cornerstone of engineering excellence. Keep practicing, stay resilient, and watch as your problem-solving skills take you to new heights! #ProblemSolving #EngineeringSkills #Creativity #Resilience #Teamwork #CareerGrowth #Engineers #CipherenTechnology #Innovation

Here are some tips: Assess your needs and goals: Before choosing a VOIP provider and plan, it's important to assess your needs and goals for using VOIP. This will help you determine the features and services you require, which can help you avoid unnecessary costs. . Consider a cloud-based solution: Cloud-based VOIP systems, such as TrueVoIP and Highbridge Communications, offer cost savings by eliminating the need for expensive on-premise hardware and maintenance. These systems allow you to work from anywhere and can save you up to 80% off your current phone bill. . Take advantage of added features: VOIP business phone systems, like those offered by some providers, often come with added features for less than the cost of traditional phone hardware. These features can enhance productivity and efficiency, providing value for your investment. . Scalability: VOIP phone systems are scalable, meaning you can buy only what you need at the moment and avoid costly hardware upgrades when your business grows. This flexibility can save you money in the long run. . Compare providers: It's important to compare different VOIP providers to find the best pricing and service options for your needs. ConnectVoltNG NEWS ROXETTES Motors to inaugurate CNG, electric vehicle assembly plant in Abia – Businessday NG ROXETTES Motors, an indigenous automobile manufacturing firm, has announced plans to commence the assembling of vehicles in Abia State before the end of October 2024. The construction of its assembly plant at Obu-Aku City, in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State is nearing completion and all the equipment needed to start the 40,000 units of automobiles per annum is expected to arrive Abia State, before the end of August, 2024, Kaycee Orji , chief executive officer of ROXETTES Motors, said. Orji, who spoke on Friday, during a meeting with Governor Alex Otti, said that the dream, which was hatched a year ago, has now become a reality, due to the encouragement from Otti, who has provided the enabling environment and fulfilling of every promise he made them when they shared their dream of setting up a vehicle assembling plant in Nigeria. Orji said, ‘I told you of my plans to have an assembly plant and you asked me to bring it to Abia. I am grateful to you, for the peaceful business atmosphere you have created in Abia. Everything you promised us, you have fulfilled’. ‘You promised us land where we would build the assembly plant and in less than a month, you gave us an offer letter and Certificate of Occupancy. I have to inform you now that construction is seriously ongoing at Obu-Aku City. We call it Eco-Drive Green Tech Metropolis, because we have in mind to do a whole lot of things within that space. And, One of the things we are doing already is the construction of the assembly plant’. ‘The assembly plant will see us rolling out about 40,000 units of automobiles per annum and 70 percent of the production, would be mainly innovative products, like electric vehicles and compressed natural gas (CNG) driven vehicles’. ‘The world is migrating to sustainable energy and we don’t want to sit back and watch the world move and Nigeria and Abia State are not doing anything. We considered Abia as the most favourable environment to start, because of the current leadership. So, we are going to start assembling electric vehicles in that space, this year. “Secondly, we are going to have another production line there, which is a CNG conversion plant. What it means is that we are going to have the capability to convert any vehicle to CNG. “We are going to have the CNG kits installed there and then the CNG cylinders installed, so that people can run on cheaper and cleaner energy”. He described Obu-aku City, as a well planned and strategic place to do business with the natural gas lines there as an added advantage for smart companies to do their businesses. “We have produced our CNG generators in China and they will be leaving China next month, so that we don’t bother or stress the already crowded demands on the national grid since we already have gas lines that pass through that location”. Orji said that they are g

The actual age of starting a modeling career is between 13-18 years. As you go through the history of modeling, top models have been selected near this age group by scouts. **1\. Model like "Alex Consani" was in her high school when she worked for Versace for the first time at the age of 13.** ## 2\. Model: Kimora Lee-Simmons was eleven years old when her mother admitted her to a modeling agency. At the age of 14 she came to a contract with Chanel. ## 3\. Model: Kate Moss was spotted by founder of storm model management at airport when she was 14 years old. These are a few examples of models who started at a very young age. Now you can also start your career at a very young age, until you become 18 years old, till the time you will be in the minor category of modeling where you will always have a elder one with you to be your companion at every job and help you in legal works. Now how can you finish your school with a modeling career simultaneously? At a level you will compromise some of your school days and even some modeling jobs due to high priority of school days & Modeling jobs, but overall if you can manage both then you will rock both segment in you career and school life. We can say model who are also pursuing studies along with modeling career, manages both 1. They have their special class and extra hours session to study & Manage school work, Especially when they miss their classes or projects. 2. Their weekend remain usually busy, they have to manage up whole school in week days. Weekends are dedicated for shoots only. 3. Some time campaigns are the most challenging thing in their life, specially during important times of school. Campaign jobs are 2-4 days planned shoots where model must present for all days or half days as per the requirements, then missing school can be difficult. If they have exams, then probably they will miss the shoot. 4. As we have seen how it become difficult to manage it regularly, but their fame & fan Following will rise high, when their school mates, class teachers, and entire school will see them on billboards and hoardings outside the school. I can say it surely because in my brothers school this thing happened, when a girl from his section did an advertisement shoot for a cosmetic brand and we can see the huge banner outside the school. For an entire month this was the hot topic in the school. 5\. Rest I can say, their school life is not remain like a normal school teen, who play games and hangout with friends, because they models have free time either they day shoots or practice session or they do any other shoot related work. I think these small points give you basic information about how a school going teen manages a modeling life. African Libertarian Movement Anti-malversation and economic Crimes
Fuel issue to the development of the country Around these 5 years the country of Burundi losing in the terms of economy more than it was before added that it is placed among the first poorest countries in the World because of the issue of the fuel in the country. Comparing to other countries in the East African Community, Burundi is scoring in lack of fuel. Anyway, this lack of fuel should be explained at a certain time by several facts as explained many times by the concerned. In the former years, any vehicle was able to make full-tank at any time, at any place but now it is not the case. You should found half-tank in the previous days at least but now it none exists. Now the vehicles are kept at fuel stations waiting for long time and they are pushed by force of men to leave the place without getting getting fuel. SHAMEFUL! Issue resort The issue of lacking fuel does not affect only one sector but all sectors of activities of the country. Jobs are not executed as well, schools are not attended as it would be, and goods are not exported or imported in a good way. In few words, it becomes calamity in all area but the most terrible is the famine in the country because the country now is affected by famine due to this issue. A food from one province to another is now being done nowadays. Provided that all provinces of the country don’t get the same harvest at the same level they could collaborate and exchange and famine should not affect the country. Note that the more suffering one remains the ordinary people. Why do government's vehicle not stop? The community they would serve is perishing. Was this the same case before? Before most of the fuel stations had the access and authority to import the fuel at their capacity and according to the station owner capital. This was so and the businessmen tried all their best and they served the community as well. After pretending that the fuel stations are generating the fuel in the bad condition, the fuel importation has been assigned to the be controlled by the government. Moreover, it has been said that the tax of OBR was not fulfilled by those businessmen. In the explanations given by the concerned, they highlighted the lack of dollars that disturbs the trade system. Anyway, this doesn’t have the solid explanation because they would give opportunity to the businessmen and do the trade themselves by following OBR obligations. Going deep, all the explanations given are not on the favor of resolving the issue. In this issue, they don’t give the value on the free market and this market is controlled by the committee and institutions of the government. This issue will not be over till the government is limited and give access to the business owner themselves. Recently, on 03/01/2024, the government gathered together the Ministers and reorganizes the committee charged on controlling the fuel market. Will this pass and resolve the problem?

Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman A buddy turned me on to this book a while back and said if anyone needed to read it, it was me. As with most books I jump into, the timing of Burkeman’s message was perfect. I’d been feeling a strong tug lately to reassess where my priorities stacked up and honestly assess if my time was being appropriately allocated to the endeavors that moved the needle for me. The book’s title is derived from the assumption that if one lives to be 80, they will have about four thousand weeks to live. The author makes the case that despite it being “harder to imagine a crueler arrangement: not only are our four thousand weeks constantly running out, but the fewer we have left, the faster we seem to lose them,” it is liberating because by confronting the certainty of death we can start to become truly present with our lives. Living in the moment has always been a struggle for me. I have always emphasized a future reward instead of basking in the beauty of the now or taking a second to enjoy the accomplishment earned. He also hit me between the eyes by articulating that becoming uber-efficient with our time allows us to take on more things that don’t matter in the grand scheme of things. For example, if you respond to emails at a breakneck pace, the reward is merely more emails (at an even faster cadence). There is no denying that if you want to receive something of significance in the future, you will have to sacrifice in exchange for it today, so the message is not to throw care to the wind and live a life cloaked in hedonism. Rather, it is to find joy in all things, even if they are hard, disappointing, or mundane, because each experience or interaction could be our last. Our problem isn’t limited time but rather how we spend it. The world sells us an image of what it means to be successful or how life is supposed to be lived, but the truth is that those things are different for everyone. “It is impossible to feel as though you are doing well enough. Instead of simply living our lives as they unfold in time, it becomes difficult not to value each moment primarily according to its usefulness for some future goal or some future oasis of relaxation you have to reach once your tasks are finally out of the way.” - Oliver Burkeman In closing, I’d like to leave you with two questions: If you let everything in your life crash to the ground, what pieces would you pick back up? What would it mean to spend the time you have only in a way that makes you feel as though you are making it count? To me, the meaning of life is relationships, experiences, and feeling alive. Every second I spend on one of those equates to a life well lived in my eyes. I want more of that with the weeks I have left. Wonder Women Tech
People ask how they can support Wonder Women Tech (and other initiatives like ours.) The truth? Many of us are barely holding on. Some of us are here because of sheer will and the work and support of a team of volunteers and an Advisory Board that roll up their sleeves and help strategize and pool together resources. That's us. For the most part though, our industries (DEIB & women led initiatives) have been attacked, defunded, and devalued. I am going to talk about the elephant in the room because it's now or never. You say you care about women, or people of color, or LGBTQ+, or disabled or neurodiverse humans, but you remain silent when it comes to the leaders and groups who are at the frontlines championing this work, risking their livelihood for equity and human rights. How often do you think about those at the frontlines of impact? How often do you reflect on what they go through on a daily basis to be seen and heard and then valued and supported? Why do they keep going? We are often met with "thank you" and told how commendable our work is, and even to "keep going" but are not always supported in the sustainable ways that matter to our survival. Last night I was talking to a group of women in tech and entertainment who have all heard of WWT, (but hadn't yet attended and will attend the Wonder Tech Fest in Jan,) and they were shocked at what I shared vulnerably with them. How much work I do behind the scenes and what looks like a massive team of humans is actually--not. Their eyes were so wide, I started laughing. Later, I started crying. I will tell you why. For over a decade I've been out here tilling the soil. I root myself in excellence so our marketing materials look amazing, our brands are solid, and I go the extra mile in personal communication. I don't love mass communication so your girl is out here emailing personally thousands of humans a month. I work hard and rarely make the funds I need beyond what it takes to make an event happen. I make just enough to pull off an event and I fight to survive the rest of the time. People say keep going, but won't pay for a ticket to the conference, (even at a discount) but will happily accept the free offers I provide. I give away tables to support entrepreneurs and artists for free every year. More than half our tickets are given as scholarships for the last ten years. How can you save us? Buy a ticket to our events like you do for Taylor Swift concerts. Grab an exhibitor booth. Sponsor! Build an activation. Donate your cup of coffee money for the day. SHOW UP! I saw the pleas Girls In Tech and Women Who Code were making months and weeks before they announced their closure. I've made those same pleas the last three years to silence. We are out here dying. Don't just placate with words and "how can this happen?" Support those of us still standing. While we are still here. Thank you. Over the next few days, I'll share some examples of results that my clients have seen, testimonials, and how you can reimagine work to improve your quality of life at work and home. “Can you remember what the problem was that you were worrying about three problems ago”? Probably not. We sort a problem out and the next problem is in front of us ready to be dealt with. Even in small business, there is no end to the problems we have to deal with. I know people who have their eyes on the lookout for problems. They see problems early. Way earlier than I see them because I am a ‘glass half full’ person. It means day to day I live a happier life, but it also means I don’t always see a problem early enough. I will give you an example. During the week I got an email that I knew was AI generated using information from our website, but I responded to see if a 'real person' answered my question. Their business name suggested they are based in Western Australia so I booked in an appointment to talk about freshening up our website. The appointment rolled around so I reread the initial email. I wanted to be prepared. I realised that while the email topic heading indicated they wanted to talk to me about the website, the body of the email talked about increasing our lead generation by a ‘gazillion’ using email marketing. They were not based in Western Australia, either. They are seemingly global with a footprint in New York, Tel Aviv, London, Manilla. We are not in that league, nor do we want to be, so I sent an email back politely cancelling the appointment. I received a nice email in return. The author was polite and understanding but he was insistent that we should still meet to build a relationship. He wanted to be ready to provide us with a service when we needed it. He wanted to know more about our business, too. He was curious. He seemed genuine. I was touched. I thought that I could probably work with this guy. I was actually looking forward to meeting him remonstrating myself for cancelling the initial appointment. But something started to niggle away in the back of my mind. The words DO YOUR HOMEWORK got louder and louder. Late on Friday night I stopped ignoring the silent screams and I did some more digging. You won’t be surprised by what I discovered. The digital branding website is fake. The digital branding LinkedIn page is fake. The email marketing LinkedIn page is fake. It is all fake. I may not want to look for problems, but I don't want to have to deal with avoidable disasters either. In my case, a very smooth operator who got past my first two tests was probably going to promise me the world with a tidy deposit paid up front and I would never hear from him again. AI is making it harder to spot the fakes, so we must be extra vigilant. This is a problem that could have become time consuming and expensive for us to deal with while taking us away from the important work we do. Today is day 163 of my 365-day writing challenge. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. If I have moved you in any way, like, comment, share. Image Credit: Shutterstock

Noodle Box
GET TO KNOW – Simon 😀 (Multi-Franchise owner of 3 Noodle Box Restaurants) When did you start with Noodle Box? I started with a Wokinabox restaurant in Armadale in 2010 & purchased a second store in Canning Vale. Now I own 3 stores – Noodle Box Canning Vale, Noodle Box Osborne Park, & Noodle Box Palmyra. How did you know you were ready to purchase your second store? Katie, our Growth Support Manager at the time, recognised I was ready and proposed a second store. I felt the timing was right. Was it difficult going from 1/2/3 stores? What support did you receive from Noodle Box? I found having 1 store quite easy to manage, & the transition to 2 stores more difficult as it required more management. I had to hire the right staff & ensure the right people were in my business. Owning my 3rd restaurant was easier as I had a formula in place. Our Growth Support Manager is Sunny, & we are very lucky. She is supportive in all aspects of the business and goes above & beyond. If there are any sales, operations, or even IT issues, Sunny is always there to offer her assistance. Concept Eight is also very supportive, & whilst I am busy running my business, I know that behind the scenes, they are marketing my business on various platforms from delivery, social media to any local area marketing. The innovation from the Ate Rewards app is also helping drive sales. You now operate 3 stores, what does your team setup look like? I have 3 excellent Managers who oversee my 3 restaurants & are immensely helpful and important to my business. I am very hands-on, I visit 2 stores a day to check food quality and stock levels. My wife is also working in the business with me & we have a great partnership. Over the years, you have traditionally bought Noodle Box restaurants with average sales and transformed these into high sales/high-profit restaurants. What is your secret? The secret is experience! Learned over the years of running restaurants, I attribute my success to focusing on maintaining food quality and ensuring this is always at a high standard. I hire chefs and cooks and train them personally on how to cook the Noodle Box menu following our standard operating procedures. Consistency is key! We also ensure that we offer a good training period for our staff, which is important. I currently have approximately 40-50 people working in my restaurants. Our customer is a big focus; we want to make sure that their experience is positive. Our virtual brands have also contributed to our sales. By offering multiple brands under one roof, we cater to all tastes, which has increased sales. What do you love about owning Noodle Box stores? Noodle Box is the number 1 brand for noodles. It offers a big team with great operational support. Why do you think customers love the brand? Great noodles, fresh ingredients, and lots of variety. What is your favorite Noodle Box dish? I love fried rice! I am loving the latest Limited Time Only Fried Rice range. 🍜

In-Tec Commercial Cleaning
Last night we performed the last service for a client. And it was our choice. Why? So we didn’t become a Victim of our own Story. Or to be clearer - to suddenly begin to suffer as a result of something or someone bad. Here is what happened: A client we have been delivering a daily cleaning service for five years decided to do a review. Of course we all review things from time to time, but it was the decision that made us withdraw our services. The client, well, actually, the Sydney based Procurement Department, decided after the review that the site in question only needed to be serviced three days a week. Again it is the clients choice here, however from the cleaning needs we know the site has, we could not see how this would work. We saw that the staff onsite, after being used to five full services would get upset at the lack of cleaning and, as we have seen in the past, blame us for the drop in service. They would forget that is was their decision to reduce the cleaning frequency and this would leave us being a “Victim of our own Story.” Why? We strongly believe that after 30 years of running a cleaning business, and one of our founders having close to 40 years experience in the industry, that we need to stand by what we believe a site needs as far as cleaning goes. Yes, a client can choose a frequency or what to clean or not, but we can choose to say “yes or no”. In this case we could see that no-one at the site will be happy. Yes, Procurement may be happy after all they have done what is expected of them, reduce the cost, but the team at the site, after being so used to a great daily service, will be totally dissatisfied. So why would we be a victim of our own story? We have and are working on educating our current and potential clients on what good cleaning looks like and for us to participate in agreeing to supplying a cleaning service that would be second rate at best, would be totally against the way of us doing business, in other words our story. And going against what we are talking about and educating about, would make us just one of the bad cleaning companies we talk about - so delivering bad cleaning or insufficient cleaning, will make us just as bad - begin to suffer as a result of something or someone bad. Again, I will say, that it is totally up to the client on what they decide to have as far as a cleaning service goes, but it is also up to us, as a team, to say NO, especially if we see what is being asked to not be possible to deliver. Oh, and to ask a cleaner to clean as site like this three days a week is just degrading to them, but more on that in a post next week. And lastly this site is a NDIS supplier, an organisation that is there to service and support people but does not see that a clean site everyday, is supporting thier team. #cleaning #commercialcleaning #NDIS #procurement #makesnosense

Living With Metastatic Cancer: How Do You Do It? Martha Carlson says, "I’m approaching 10 years with stage 4 breast cancer, and this question tops the “most asked” list. “How do you do it?” The short story: I do it the same way we all do things, by waking up and getting to it. The fact is that people living with metastatic cancer don’t have a choice other than Just. Do. It. If we stop, we aren’t likely to be here much longer and, frankly, even when we do everything in our power, we may not be here as long as we’d imagined. I have spent the last nearly 10 years of my life living with the sword of Damocles hanging overhead, coming closer but not quite fatally nicking me. Between blood tests, scans, EKGs, an unending supply of doctor appointments, and, of course, treatment every three weeks, the sword sometimes feels more like a piece of paper attempting to take me down through paper cuts. I am one of the fortunate few whose metastatic cancer has been brought under control by drugs and genetics. But that sword doesn’t vanish. My “secrets” are no secret. I do the things that we know are helpful but that can be hard to maintain over time: Acknowledging living with cancer and all it entails is a bad hand to draw at any age. Basically, it stinks, but then I move on. Accept that I am doing my best and refuse to blame myself for things that are out of my control or for making choices that make me happy as a person, even when my healthcare team might prefer something different. Don’t keep it inside for long. Much to the occasional dismay of the people closest to me, I have learned to “feel what I feel” and own it. Try to schedule unpleasantness as much as possible. For me, this can mean squeezing in multiple appointments in one day or one week so that the rest of the month can be mostly free of cancer stuff. This might not be your way! Maybe you like to spread it out. The point is to try to make the schedule work for you. Schedule pleasantness, too. I actively look for flights to my family and friends well ahead of time; I talk to my husband about nearby places that might be interesting and make plans to go; I sign up for workshops and classes that interest and challenge me. I maintain that I am here and capable even when—and this is key—I am sad, anxious or scared. In keeping with the “I feel what I feel” mantra that keeps me going, I have learned to accept that we feel more than one thing at once. The idea is that we need to live in “both/and” spaces rather than “either/or.”It’s why I and others get up in arms when we are told to “be grateful,” as though we can’t feel gratitude alongside sorrow. Make friends who lift you up, make you laugh, who like you for who you are, and bring you along on their adventures. To all those who have lived this cancer-life with me in this giving and honest way, I send all my love.
