Ratings and Reviews
Another pointless app
Again, NS&I screw another application. That is now the online service website you cant access because the two factor authentication just loops in circles, and now the app repeatedly shows “oops theres been an error” , and “click to try again shortly”, since it is now February and this has been repeatedly reported since August I would have expected a fix. The fact that when you email them to resolve it or fix the website so you can login they repeatedly blatantly lie to us and say “we haven’t heard it reported before” is nonsense. You only need to look here at the hundreds, literally hundreds of reviews mentioning it. (But of course we are the first to mention it to them, even when it was me who mentioned it 8 weeks ago)
FIX YOUR STUFF OR WE ALL MOVE OUR MONEY.
Leaving my money in an establishment that will not fix their issues, cannot access in any service (except post), and lie to you repeatedly and openly is not a method I (or many others) feel comfortable with. If you cant fix it in the next ten days I have opened accounts with alternatives to place my money securely and accessibly there.
Just off useless!
I have just tried to use this app to invest in savings bonds. You sign in, start the fairly lengthy process then you get kicked out after about 2 minutes, you then have to log back in again to start the whole process all over again, no matter how far you got. This happens every time. I have managed to complete the investment process but only after so many attempts that I could complete the whole process including my banks security checks within the 2 minutes - just! before I was kicked out again. How one is supposed to sign in, complete the process, allow time for external security checks and read the condition as suggested, before getting logged out? I have no idea!
A lot of repeated wasted effort before managing to complete the process. As the heading states, this app is virtually useless, for the long processes required to invest with NS&I, particularly as these investment can only be made on line. I appreciate to security implications of leaving the app open for an extended period but surely it has to allow enough time to complete the processes it offers?
basic app limited functionality
as other reviewers of this app have said, this app is very limited, frequently when you open the app and it tries to log you in with face id you get errors saying there was a problem and you have to authenticate and log in again from scratch to get it to work and close and reopen the app. The randomised keypad is just annoying its not a security feature, as it makes entering characters from a pin number difficult with iPhone accessibility features, just give a normal keypad and two factor authentication. If you use the IOS auto fill passwords option to save log in details for the app, when you enter the details using auto fill passwords your s and i number is entered into the sir name box, just ask for the s and I number, password and two factor authenticate. seriously this app feels abandoned and unloved, not a good example of a well made app. Also it only gives you bank transfer details, no option to use the app to make deposits using card details or withdraw funds via the app. Almost useless.
