We are back with .FromTheField, our brand new project and challenge. To create music only from our field recordings.
This month is one of contrast. From the warm, vivid spirit of Colombian rhytmic streets to the isolation of being buried in the wet sand of the Mediterranean coast. One, washing away the hustle to reveal a sense of peaceful, granular remembrance. The other, scattered hits, almost hostile. Solitary confinement at the beach.

"Under the sand. You hear them arriving. Filtering through the micro spaces between each grain, from above, back and forth. The sea's waves we always hear by the shore, scented with salty air, are heard from the underground. As one would be buried."
"It was in Colombia some months ago during a free tour around the streets of Bogotá. Surrounded by colonial and early 20th-century buildings, we ventured into the Chorro de Quevedo square. A beautiful spot where tourists mingled with locals. Its bars were crowded, and the music in the square was noticeable, mainly because right next to the public fountain stood a man, bearing a striking resemblance to Johnny Depp but the ‘Paisa one’, clad in his proper attire, playing his beloved guitar. The sounds just got me, and now, Quev, there's something I want to tell you."
