Required:

experience in IT Networking.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field.
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or Security Certification.
Preferred:
Certifications issued within the last four (4) years as follows:
(1) Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Enterprise Infrastructure or Security Certification.
(2) Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security (PCNSE) Certification.
(3) Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE) Certification from Palo Alto Networks.
Scope of Work:
Lead, schedule and oversee the activities with other team members to resolve end user hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
Primary job duties and responsibilities including testing, deployment, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation of a statewide network, utilizing industry best practices for security, disaster recovery and business continuity, change control, and client support.
Assistance in the creation of robust network designs, acting as the escalation point of contact and lead engineer for implementations and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
Oversight of the configuration, maintenance, and documentation of routers, switches, wireless controllers, load balancers, WAN optimizers, and management and security appliances.
Designing, developing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and documenting computer networks and infrastructure Developing and analyzing network designs and protocols including prototyping and assessment.
Performing planning, engineering, forecasting and implementation, and identification of resource requirements for network systems Leading or assisting in major network projects to support capacity growth, upgrades and new products/features, and integration Evaluating current network systems and recommending changes in maintenance and systems standards, and training support personnel on the conversion, implementation, and troubleshooting Applying in-depth up-to-date knowledge of standards, guidelines, industry trends and similar for LAN, WAN, Wireless, Data Center, Cloud networking interconnection Driving improvements in network process, efficiency, and standardization.
Ensuring security compliance, change control processes and adherence to standards Providing upper tier of diagnosis, isolation, and resolution of network problems.
Identifying and documenting root cause.
Proactively identifying potential issues in the production environment and recommending potential solutions Developing comprehensive graphical and text-based documentation and effectively managing the implementation process from design to acceptance Generating weekly status reports including project progress, key milestones, and tasks accomplished, etc.
Hosting weekly status meetings/calls with team or on as needed basis.
Lifting personal computers, printers, scanners, and other equipment associated with a standard computer workstation.
Reporting as follows: Weekly report communicating project progress and status, Weekly time reporting on JIS provided forms, and Any additional reports as assigned by the supervising manager.
Proficiency with the following is required:
High Availability in Enterprise Scalable routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).
Advanced WAN service layers, SDWANs and WAN Optimization applications.
Current Network Security applications, services and appliances including Identity Management, Network Access Control, Application Layer Inspection, Content and Malware Filtering, Data Loss and Intrusion Prevention, zero-day threats, IPsec and SSL VPN, PKI, Two-Factor Authentication and other.
Network Management Protocols, Applications and Operating System capabilities.
Layer 2&3 optimization and boundary, virtual switching systems.
Enterprise Data Center and cloud Networking for Virtualization, SDN, Load Balancing, storage.
Zero Trust Network Access and micro-segmentation.
Enterprise VoIP and physical security environments - access control and video surveillance network applications.
Quality-of-Service design and implementation.
Installation and configuration of Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and Palo Alto platforms.
Installation, configuration, securing and troubleshooting enterprise wireless access systems.
Knowledge of the following:
Infrastructure Services and experience with IPAM products.
IP multicast, Enterprise Video conferencing, streaming and on demand components.
Coding languages for scripting.
