Ayn Rand is an American writer of Jewish origins from the USSR. She managed to emigrate from the USSR, moved to the USA and created her own philosophy called Objectivism. She went through many hardships and created for herself a life of fulfillment, recognition and prosperity. You may have heard of Atlas Shrugged and/or The Fountainhead, her two most celebrated novels.
