Overview: Summary The Cabling/Access Control Infrastructure Superintendent is responsible for providing overall on-site leadership including supervision, scheduling, financial management, subcontractor relations, and other related activities.
The Superintendent will work closely with our clients and lead teams to deliver high-quality cabling solutions on various size projects.
#LI-JM1 Responsibilities: Essential Functions Coordinates and supervises all construction activities Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications Maintains construction schedule, and identifies and solves problems Ensures contractor places material orders and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process Maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors and other team members Reviews prepared schedules and supervises completion of a final punch list Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately Ensures all company team members and contractors are adhering to the company safety policies Additional Specific Duties and Responsibilities Plan, install, and maintain structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cabling, racks, patch panels, and related equipment Perform rigorous testing, verification, and documentation of cabling systems to guarantee they meet performance criteria and industry standards Maintain precise records of all cabling work performed, including cable labeling, network diagrams, test results, and inventory management Qualifications: Required Qualifications Ability to work varied day and evening timeframes required, ability to daily travel within the region and ability to travel for extended periods nationally when needed Experienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision and Subcontractor management Advanced technical knowledge in the structured cabling industry to include safety regulations and compliance Experienced in managing multiple projects Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of cabling infrastructure installation and performance Cabling manufacturer certifications.
Belden, Panduit and Leviton are examples.
