*Responsibilities include:*
* Responsible for developing new business sales opportunities by growing revenue, finding and developing new business opportunities and expanding the brand
* Proven record of building a book of business to meet and exceed sales goals
* Build relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, partners, and vendors
* Evaluate existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn't
* Develop and manage revenue forecast and sales reports based on existing sales and growth expectations supporting operations and production
* Multi-channel and multi-level product growth including foodservice and retail business customers as well as consumer-facing sell through
* Work within a CRM tool to track activity and manage customer database
* Influence and guide product development and branding to ensure successful product launches informed by partner insights
* Work closely with the marketing team to ensure product growth and velocity is meeting budget goals brainstorming as a team to build on successes
* Provide insights into the marketing program to ensure peak performance.
Must be able to develop and manage a proforma/postforma to illustrate strong ROI
* Develop and design sales decks in conjunction with the marketing team to effectively communicate USPs and initiatives to new and existing partners that will lead to increase in distribution.
* Guide, manage and execute clear, effective, and timely communication to all customer categories
* Work directly with broker(s) to support growth initiatives with individual retailers
* Maintain relationships with current retailer and foodservice partners and support retail-specific (in-store) marketing initiatives to drive sales volume
* Utilize tradeshow events to develop and build relationships through strategic, planned meetings
* Monitor industry news to maintain and grow knowledge base and inform of future initiatives

* Must be familiar with retail/food service food industry
* Experience with business development strategy with proven track record of growth
* Ability to achieve the highest standards of customer service in all situations
* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
* Ability to make difficult, thoughtful decisions
* Ability to handle multiple tasks with a strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:*
Education: Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business and communications.
Experience: 5-10 years of experience in business development or senior sales position understanding the importance of managing and developing relationships, managing expectations, working with internal teams to ensure cohesive execution of marketing & sales initiatives, and a direct understanding of how this impacts every level of business performance.
A proven track record of success will be expected.
Experience in food manufacturing or as a supplier for foodservice and grocery retail, a plus.
Must be an experienced user of Microsoft Office programs and CRM software.
Experience may substitute for education.
