Job Scope/Overview
Responsible for the administration, implementation, support and maintenance of all enterprise-wide application systems.
Performs a variety of application administrative duties to provide support to SLFCU employees and members.
Ensures all applications are maintained and configured optimally in compliance with all applicable policies.
Twenty-four hour availability required for application support.
Plans and coordinates any application changes, patches and upgrades.
Maintains operating stability, efficiency, and ensures the security of the network and maintained applications.
Monitors, documents, tests and updates applications according to relevant policies and procedures.
Assists in setting policy and procedures for application management and security based on recognized business risk.
Provides technical support and training for application changes, enhancements, projects, and other related application duties.
Accountability/Job Duties Provide exceptional service to employees on SLFCU technology systems utilizing the knowledge management/help desk software as well as other resources.
Strive to provide user solutions within ITS Service Level Agreements.
Plan, implement, support and manage applications within Network and Systems management.
Troubleshoot, resolve and document application changes, enhancements, issues, and training.
Plan and coordinate application changes, expansions and upgrades.
Administer application-level security procedures.
Monitor and manage Network and systems managed applications.
Work with Network and Systems team on various projects.
Automate IT operations and task via scripts and group policy.
Perform application administration functions for the interoperating LAN/WAN and server environment.
Establish and maintain application user accounts, assign file permissions and maintain password and account policies.
Monitor and assist with application backup and restore processes.
Act as technical liaison for application vendor issues to troubleshoot, enhance, change, update or decommission any Network and Systems managed applications.
Support day-to-day application operations.
Manage and monitor proper licensing for all applications, including licensing for server and workstation computer systems.
Track and update software and service maintenance renewals.
Evaluate requests for application needs; research and recommend solutions to technology needs compatible with the Credit Union’s technology architecture, infrastructure and resource constraints.
Determine proper workstation configuration and software settings for workstation standard loads.
Test and update workstation software for standard load platforms.
Administer and maintain various server applications (i.
e.
payroll, mortgage, marketing, Service Desk, Manage Engine, Anti-Virus/Malware, Active PDF, VDI applications, file sharing, IM, video conferencing, email, patch management, and telephony, etc.
).
Install, configure, deploy and test application/software packages.
Provide support and assistance to SLFCU users and help desk team to troubleshoot and document application-related issues.
Work with ITS and senior management to formulate technology solutions and ensure the effective safeguarding and sharing of Credit Union enterprise data.
Interface with internal and external auditors and security consultants on an ongoing basis to measure, test and provide resolution on all applications.
Promote the service and sales culture by maintaining basic knowledge of products and services and referring members to the appropriate person/department.
Perform application patch management.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements: Experience and Knowledge: Minimum two years’ experience as a system or application administrator, including multi-vendor applications, server operating systems, email, printing and workstation experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the following: Operating system architectures, characteristics and components applicable to computer platforms/operating environments Software installations and upgrades Principles, practices and methods of systems/network administration and maintenance, including configuration, operation of network systems, security, performance tuning and techniques for layout and design.
Internet/Intranet technologies and design concepts and techniques Security practices for hardening application access Application testing, system analysis and troubleshooting Proficient in setting up enterprise level applications and workstation loads using industry best practices, to include server and client software configurations (operating systems and software applications, including those determined to be relevant to the client standardized load).
Knowledge of HTML and web server configuration and development desired.
Basic knowledge of Credit Union products and services, features, and benefits.
Education: Associates or two-year college degree (in computer science, information systems, programming or related field preferred), or equivalent experience.
Certification as a Microsoft Certified Associate or systems administrator preferred.
Interpersonal Skills: Practices accountability to self and others.
Honest and transparent while also demonstrating respect.
