Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Educational Aide permit
Physical ability to lift students
Honesty
Cooperate and get along with others
Work as a member of a team
Desirable:
Ability to take directions
Previous successful experience with school age children
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of a Bus Assistant include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assists the bus driver to provide a positive and safe atmosphere on the bus
Assists students on and off the bus
Accompanies students to and from the bus
Assigns students seats if necessary and/or required
Understands and maintains the academic and behavioral standards set for the students by the bus driver and/or Supervisor of Transportation
Operates wheelchair lift as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
