Duties:
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Provide instruction to students in various subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement strategies for student success
- Utilize technology and other resources to enhance the learning experience
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification or license
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with child welfare and special education regulations and procedures
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders
Skills:
- Classroom management: Ability to create a positive and structured learning environment for students.
- Experience with children: Previous experience working with children in a professional setting.
- Early childhood education: Knowledge of developmental milestones and appropriate teaching strategies for young learners.
- Child welfare: Understanding of the well-being and safety of children in an educational setting.
- Special education: Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations for students with special needs.
- Toddler care: Ability to provide care and support for toddlers in an educational setting.
- Physical education: Knowledge of physical fitness concepts and ability to lead physical activities.
- Curriculum development: Skill in designing engaging curriculum materials that align with educational standards.
- Early intervention: Ability to identify early signs of learning difficulties or developmental delays and provide appropriate interventions.
- Lesson planning: Proficiency in creating lesson plans that incorporate a variety of instructional strategies and resources.
