The rapid advancements in generative AI have been largely dominated by the English language, leaving a significant gap in the development of AI for non-English languages, including Indic and Arabic languages. This disparity has far-reaching implications for linguistic diversity, cultural representation, and equal access to the benefits of AI technology. In my latest article, I explore the challenges in developing generative AI for non-English languages, such as data scarcity, cultural nuance, and scalability. The article proposes approaches to improve it, including curating diverse datasets, developing multilingual models, and prioritizing underrepresented languages. Moreover, I tried emphasize the importance of ethical considerations, mitigating biases, and promoting cultural authenticity in the development of generative AI for non-English languages. Which equally applies to english as well. As we continue to push the boundaries of generative AI, it is crucial to recognize the importance of linguistic diversity and cultural representation in this transformative technology. Quantum is coming fast and the standards bodies are playing a huge role in moving the needle. Reminds me of the early days of the Internet and Web. Unlike the fast and loose days of Web20 and rise of today's cloud/SaaS market we are seeing a resurgence of systems design up and down the stack. OpenAI is at it again. Yesterday, it released new models that are a significant step forward, enhancing the models’ ability to “think” through complex problems in science, coding, and math. While still in the very early days, this could be a huge opportunity to fast-forward innovation with fewer resources.The video below shows how these new models can build a simple app in just a few minutes. If NGOs can handle some of their smaller projects independently, it could open up possibilities for them to explore more advanced options in their matches with tech companies. By making these tools more accessible, tech companies can also push their commitment to social responsibility even further. It’s no longer just about offering support—but rather helping nonprofits become more independent and capable. This update from OpenAI isn’t just about advanced tech; it’s about creating stronger partnerships where both sides contribute to driving innovation. It’s a step toward reshaping what social responsibility looks like—moving from temporary fixes to long-term, sustainable impact.

I was privileged to participate in the panel “THE FUTURE OF COMPUTING: QUANTUM PROCESSING” at VISION 2030 - Explore the Future of Work with #BDO and #TomorrowLab.   I had the opportunity to outline that we reached a phase of reliable quantum computing and how #Microsoft and #Quantinuum achieved this building on Quantinuum hardware and topological/logical #qubits with error correction.   Regarding networking, I clarified that through a partnership with Microsoft, #Photonic has exhibited quantum #entanglement at telecom wavelengths. This was achieved by performing a teleported CNOT gate between physically separated silicon spin qubits, thereby meeting the initial prerequisite for long-distance quantum communication.   It was concluded that the speedup in quantum adoption can be realized through integrating High Performance Computing (#HPC), Artificial Intelligence (#AI), and Quantum technologies. Leveraging Azure's hyperscale cloud capabilities allows for scaling with HPC #supercomputing and enhanced #automation, along with augmenting speed by incorporating Artificial Intelligence. MOONSHOT talk about the progress of AI We tend to treat the future in exactly the same way as the present or the past, and we are well advised to refrain from doing so. If we like to divide our thoughts into facts on the one hand and judgements on the other, then the facts describe what has actually taken place, the things that are or events as they physically happened. Our judgement, on the other hand, is our personal contribution, our free choice of how we evaluate or judge something.  While we are well advised to understand the present and the past as an actualised sum of facts, the future is quite different. And although this is the case, we tend to treat it in the same way when we make overly flippant judgements: "No, I don't believe in that. I'm sure the future will be like this." Have we then made our choice of the future we want to believe in? And do we then intuitively align all our actions with this choice? Even though it is a judgement and not a fact?  In forecasting, it is a practised craft to compare the most likely scenarios and assign probabilities of occurrence, which corresponds to the basic attitude that the future can only ever be a matter of judgement.  Here is a great expert talk about facts from the past and present and the judgements that can be derived from them for the future with AI. #ai #diamandis #Mostaque #intelligence https://lnkd.in/dwM_gnr4
