Its very important to have at least 2-3 features in your product adapting to market trends, even if it does not generate revenue. This would help to capture users who are more focused on the latest trends, other core features must remain intact and be continuously eveloved.

You're in the middle of a promising sales call. How do you salvage the situation and close the deal?
I would say the situation always plays an important role. In this case if the call is promising enough and the requirement of client is clear enough try to make it more firm by providing relevant data for the call. If you all of this works, you may pitch towards closure and a partial payment.
