Reflecting on the role next-gen GCCs are going to play for enterprises - it is quite evident that there is singificant potential for GCCs to drive innovation for enterprises by leveraging their vast access to people, processes, and data across business units and regions However, our conversations with the global enterprise leaders who drive the innovation agenda indicates that only a few believe GCCs are fundamentally helping enterprises innovate. Our research reveals that four underlying factors typically hinder GCCs from realizing their potential as innovators for the enterprise: - Leaders within GCCs often mirror the enterprise silos, failing to generate proactive ideas for the overall enterprise - The emphasis tends to be on tactical and incremental enhancements rather than transformative and innovative ideas that drive global enterprise outcomes - The fragmented ownership of processes leads to lack of comprehensive visibility into the strategic priorities of the enterprise - The limited exposure to top-tier talent stemming from the small proportion of high-impact enterprise-level work conducted within GCCs. Global enterprise leaders and GCC leaders have to raise ambitions and unlock the potential of GCCs to be innovation engines for the enterprise. Interested in finding what the potential solutions are – I found this article very insightful; it explores these unlocks and identifies five focus areas that could build a truly innovative GCC organization https://lnkd.in/dFa_MnsG #Innovation #enterprises #GCCs
