Aldar is excited to announce the successful issuance of our second USD 500 million green sukuk under its broader USD 2 billion issuance programme. The 10-year issuance, priced at a 5.500% coupon rate, achieved the tightest credit spread ever secured by Aldar, at 110 basis points and was 4 times oversubscribed. UAE equity highlights today - are expectations of a hawkish Fed boosting banks? We look at National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and crypto miner Phoenix Group. Modest losses were posed across both the Abu Dhabi and Dubai exchanges on Wednesday with investors likely distracted by tonight’s FOMC meeting minutes. With that in mind, many financial stocks fared well, presumably buoyed by the idea of interest rates remaining high for some time yet. National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain was the biggest riser, up 3% on the day. That was sufficient to take the stock back towards multi year highs, although deal flow was incredibly limited and there’s no clear news here. Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank also fared well, adding 2.4% on the day. That sees the stock reverse yesterday’s losses following the brief dip below 8 Dhs, a level which hasn’t been sustained since last October. Crypto miner Phoenix Group was the worst performer of the large caps, down 7.2% on the day. The stock saw elevated transaction levels on the day although the losses took it down to all time lows. The company debuted on the market in December 2023 with an offer that was 33 times oversubscribed. Exchange data notes that Agility Global and Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) will both trade ex-div tomorrow.

These options will be cleared by the Securi Muqassa (Securities Clearing Center Company) . 🔸️ #Tadawul stated in its announcement that these options will enable local and international investors to effectively hedge and manage risks, thus enhancing the diversity of trading products available in the market. 💡 Single stock options are contracts that grant the holder the right to sell or buy a base asset at a specified price and date without being obligated to do so. This new addition to Tadawul's derivatives market, part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals, is expected to attract more international investors and enhance the sophistication of the capital markets. Kuwait Financial Centre “Markaz” has released its Fixed Income Report, revealing notable trends in primary debt issuances of Bonds and Sukuk across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries for the third quarter of 2024. The total value of these issuances reached USD 28.2 billion through 84 transactions, marking a 14.5% increase compared to the same quarter in the previous year. Cumulatively, the first nine months of 2024 saw a total issuance of USD 102.7 billion, a significant rise from USD 79.3 billion during the same period in 2023.
