Earlier this year, I teamed up with Nicklas Pyrdol to tackle a big question: how can we make a real impact in Talent Attraction and Recruitment? Our take on it: knowledge sharing and network (the conversation was longer, but that's the short LinkedIn version)! Traditionally, Denmark’s TA, Employer Branding, and HR networks have been limited to the few and have been mostly in Danish. I see the same in Sweden. SO, we wanted to create something more inclusive—open to the many incredible professionals who wants to get inspired and learn. It took me a week on my floor but a new performance measurement framework for a small company of 900 employees is done and accepted in theory on the call. No more annual nonsense appraisal. So how are employees evaluated? - Revenue: Achieved or Not. - Customer Satisfaction KPI: Achieved or Not. - Employee Satisfaction KPI for Managers and Leaders: Achieved or Not. - Projects Delivery KPI: Achieved or Not. - Competency, hard skill: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Mastery. Data is collected throughout the year (skill measurement) and at the end of the year, you just pull the report. The levels are color-coded red-yellow-green-dark green and this report also serves as your TNA and ROI report for L&D. - Competency, soft skill - Only company values: The evaluation is a simple question to each value; I don't recall or have evidence of the person not demonstrating this value. If the answer suggests otherwise examples are provided. This all adds up to a simple end rating of: - Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced - Mastery You remove as much subjectivity from the process as you can! Because nobody cares about Brenda's opinion about Steven and nobody appreciates being measured on things that cannot be objectively measured i.e. teamwork, creativity, adaptability, attention to detail (LOL), critical or strategic thinking. Listen to your employees and build HR structures that constantly listen to them. People hate the annual appraisal process yet, we continue doing it despite yielding no results and everyone hating it. How can you identify a good Talent partner?!    💜 Regularly meet with hiring managers to update on pipeline and keep hiring managers informed of challenges and blockers 💜 They use data to make informed decisions and report data back to their key stakeholders 💜 Act fast in urgent offer situations, seeking the founder or hiring manager to resolve questions rather than risk losing a crucial candidate.  💜 They are proactive in their search strategy rather being administrative or reactive 💜 They use creative sourcing strategies and don't rely on a single channel 💜 They keep the hiring team on track, ensuring timely feedback an pushing the process forward with regular roundups.  💜 They always provide feedback to their candidates whether its a pass, progress or fail. 💜 They use their tech stack to their advantage and ensure that the ATS is kept up to date with comprehensive recruiter notes 💜 They are able to influence different internal stakeholders across different functions and hold all teams to account that its a collaborative effort to hiring great talent Have I missed anything? 👇🏽
