One of the most frequent questions I get is about my recent job transfer – especially since my iqama was valid, and my company's status was green. While Saudi Arabia has made great strides in supporting the rights and freedoms of expats, unfortunately, some general managers still adhere to outdated practices, limiting opportunities and failing to recognize talent and service. So, how did I manage to get job transfer despite these challenges? Here’s the answer: If you own assets (like a car) or have family on a visit visa, your iqama cannot be marked for exit. Simply accepting a new offer through the Qiwa platform allows your iqama to transfer automatically after your notice period. I’d love to hear your thoughts on creating fair and respectful workplaces. Soundness – The necessary materials, information, and prerequisite work are in place. Sequence – Activities are aligned in the optimal order. Size – The assignment matches the capabilities of the crew. Learning – Reasons for incomplete tasks are tracked and understood for future improvement.
