The financial platform and digital wallet #CareemPay, part of the Careem Everything App, is expanding its international remittance services to include "Faster Payments" to the United Kingdom for UAE citizens. Customers, Captains, and business owners can manage their finances, pay invoices, and conduct smooth #transactions within and outside of the app with Careem Pay. Many #foreigners living in the UAE have started using the Careem Pay international remittance service to send money to Pakistan and India. Throughout 2023, one client sent $93,217 to Pakistan. With merely the recipient bank account number and sort code, or IBAN, clients in the UAE may send money to UK bank accounts in a matter of minutes thanks to the new UK remittance service. Customers can transfer up to AED 45,000 in a single transaction and up to AED 135,000 per month with attractive foreign currency rates. Mohammad El Saadi, VP of Careem Pay, says "Careem Pay’s purpose is to simplify and increase access to financial services for people across the region. We were thrilled to see our remittance services to Pakistan and India enable so many of our customers and Captains in the UAE to send money back home within minutes, and we are excited to now extend this service to another significant segment of the UAE population with near-instant money transfers to the UK.” Customers can download the Careem app and choose the Global transfer button in the Careem Pay section to start an international transfer.
