During the annual UAE government meetings, which focused on the themes of identity, family and #AI, HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, The Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the UAE FDI strategy that will help the country attracts 1.3 trillion AED by 2031. His highness mentioned 5 areas of focus to achieve the above. “This will be achieved through five strategic directions: attracting new investments in priority sectors, expanding FDI in existing projects, strengthening international partnerships, enhancing investor relations, and boosting the UAE's overall competitiveness,” A bold move by the country to maintain its leadership position as the place of aspirations and opportunities. I can clearly say that in the area of #AI, the UAE has already started to attract significant investments. Microsoft $1.5B investment in G42 as well as our commitment to bring our engineering foot print to the UAE, are already encouraging many other global companies to invest here.

I had the privilege of attending the #AbuDhabiAirExpo2024, where industry leaders shared fascinating insights on the theme "Aerospace and the UAE: Pushing New Frontiers" One of the sessions highlighted the UAE’s ambitious plans for the aviation sector, presenting impressive forecasts: 📊 Air Traffic Growth: Passenger numbers are expected to rise from 140 million in 2024 to 207 million by 2034, marking a 48% growth. ✈️ Fleet Expansion: The number of aircraft is projected to grow by 117%, increasing from 525 in 2024 to 1,140 by 2034. 💰 Economic Contributions: The aviation sector contributes ~$50 billion to the UAE’s GDP and supports approximately 800,000 jobs!!, making it a cornerstone of the country’s economy.
