TAQA Water Solutions was recognized with three awards: One Regional award: MENA Projects Awards 2024: “Water Treatment Project of the Year,”; and two national awards “Water Transmission Project of the Year” and “Asset Enhancement Scheme, Abu Dhabi.” These infrastructure projects enhance Abu Dhabi’s wastewater network with advanced, digitally powered systems. This achievement highlight our assets significant carbon footprint reduction thanks to high-capacity gravity networks that accommodate the growing population while maximizing efficiency through sustainable design.

Our network is like a sprawling spiderweb, diligently collecting water from commercial, residential, and industrial areas across the emirate of Abu Dhabi. At TAQA Water Solutions, we are driving sustainable water practices and supporting the UAE’s water security goals by adopting and implementing innovative circular solutions. 

We remain committed to protecting wildlife through sustainable water solutions. TAQA Water Solutions is supporting sustainable development goals at Al Ain Zoo by providing 95,000 cubic metres a month of recycled wastewater to irrigate 900 hectares of green areas, supporting the zoo’s biodiverse ecosystem of 4,000 animals.

In an effort to uphold the highest procurement standards, TAQA Water Solutions brought together 50+ suppliers and vendors to reintroduce the company’s priorities when it comes to sustainable sourcing. Key focus areas around safety and environmental responsibility were highlighted during this engagement, where we aligned our partners with newly introduced processes centered around accountability and transparency being key drivers for impactful partnerships. Alongside our rich supply network, TAQA Water Solutions remains committed to exploring collaboration opportunities that fuel innovative solutions and sustainable practices, laying the foundation for a resilient future for water.

TAQA Water Solutions is enabling customers to effortlessly request and schedule wastewater tankering services through its Tankering Management Companies (TMC) App. Download the app now on iOS and Android to easily schedule wastewater collection services for treatment, and support environmental conservation. After all, it is the sustainable choice. 

Over 1,000 Ghaf trees will be planted around the main pumping station of the strategic tunnel in Al Wathba, irrigated entirely with recycled water from TAQA Water Solutions’ state of the art wastewater treatment facilities. This initiative supports environmental conservation and sustainable water management in the region. The project is being carried out in collaboration with Royal Gardens Agricultural Contracting, highlighting the commitment to enhancing green spaces through sustainable practices.

At the Gulf Sustainability Awards, we are proud to have received three industry honors: Best Circular Economy Practice, Sustainability Team of the Year and Outstandijg Contributor to Sustainability. Dr. Titia De Mes, our Sustainability Manager was recognized as Outstanding Contributor to Sustainability, a testament to her team's dedication in harnessing water’s potential for a greener future.
