Job Summary
The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in identifying and securing new business opportunities. This role requires a professional with a strong network and proven expertise in government relations, able to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and foster strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Business Strategy:
Develop and implement a strategic business development plan targeting opportunities.
Government Relations:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with government authorities and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance and facilitating project approvals and permits. Highly skilled professional with expertise in government relations, capable of securing business opportunities and driving growth through government projects.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external partners to support project proposals and business strategies.
Opportunity Identification:
Research and analyze market trends to identify potential business leads, partnerships, and areas for expansion.
Proposal Development:
Lead the preparation of proposals, presentations, and project briefs for potential clients and government stakeholders.
Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high satisfaction and engagement.
Reporting & Analysis:
Track and report on business development activities, results, and forecasts to the senior management team.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in business development within the construction, oil & gas industries, or a related sector. Proven experience in government relations is essential.
Skills:
Strong networking and negotiation skills.
Deep understanding of the regulatory requirements in the Gulf region.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify growth opportunities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of CRM systems is a plus.
