With the devastating overturning of Roe v. Wade, which took place on Friday, Lizzo is taking action.
The "Truth Hurts" singer will be embarking on her "Special Tour" throughout North America, starting in September. The tour will be spearheaded by Live Nation, a company that oversees the operations of many big artist's tours, including Lil Nas X and Ariana Grande.
On her Twitter, Lizzo shared with fans that she will donate $500,000 from the tour's profits to Planned Parenthood. Live Nation "agreed to match" the "Juice" singer's donation, bringing the total to $1 million dollars. Although Planned Parenthood is among the most known organizations for women's health, many fans encouraged the singer to also donate to other abortion funds of lesser known organizations.

Lizzo announced in a second tweet that she would be doing just that. In her tweet, she shares that the donation will also be given to the National Network of Abortion Funds. On their website they state that their mission is to:
"build power with members to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access by centering people who have abortions and organizing at the intersections of racial, economic, and reproductive justice."
