Development of a rules language layered on the OWL Web Ontology Language is a major on-going topic for the Joint Committee.

The current draft of our proposal for a Semantic Web Rule Language is available here.

Since the October 2002 DAML PI Meeting the Joint Committee rules effort has been closely aligned with the Rule Markup Language (RuleML) initiative.

SWRL technical discussions take place on the [email protected] and [email protected] email lists.
