The price of survival is that a SturdyRef cannot directly
accept messages, since it cannot guarantee fail-stop delivery: On the
one hand, unlike the NEAR reference, it cannot guarantee reliable delivery,
since networks and machines aren't reliable. On the other hand, unlike
REMOTE references, it cannot stop when it fails to deliver, since its
point is to remain connected. Instead, all you can do with a SturdyRef
is ask it for a new live reference to the object it points at.
