Making use of the varied knowledge, technologies, data and results gained through space activities, the Space Education Center develops education support activities for primary and junior high school children through partnerships with schools and local communities.
A cross-curricular approach is available for lessons that feature space. Through partnerships with schoolteachers, we work to create classroom lessons to nurture children’s ability to learn.
The Space Education Center provides JAXA’s original learning programs for primary and junior high and high school students. We also foster and support educators who conduct space education activities with JAXA throughout Japan.
We provide experience-based learning programs in the field of space aeronautics. We also provide support for young people to develop their perspective through opportunities such as participation in international space education activities, in cooperation with space agencies around the world.
